Loch nan Ceall (Arisaig Harbour)
The pilot says this is one of the most intimidating entrances of any anchorage on the West Coast. It was a little scary slowly feeling our way in but we are now safely attached to a buoy. Sadly Lucinda's expectations were shattered as the laundry had shut by the time we got here. We sailed most of the way in wonderful weather. Even though we passed through Khyl Rhea just after slack water Oblivion was whisked through on a tide that peaked at 4.9 knots creating eddies and miniature whirlpools. We had our first unequivocal sighting of an otter swimming in the bay as we entered. The deck looks like a Chinese laundry with washing hanging from the guard rails. We're eating on board and I even have the Sunday Times to read.
