Stranraer

Once again the weather was glorious for the passage south. We left behind a seagull named Adrian who sat on our outboard motor looking hopeful until we moved off. We learnt from yesterday's killer swan not to feed the animals. With one reef in the main we were close hauled doing 7 knots for most of the journey. The Killers and Meatloaf were today's music. The wind died as we got near Loch Ryan and we motored the last few miles. Plan A was to anchor near the entrance to the loch. We dropped the hook without any bother but the passing ferries created an unpleasant swell. Plan B was another anchorage but we didn't fancy it. So here we are, Plan C, on a pontoon in the harbour. We've eaten, now for some chocolate, a dram of whisky and a DVD to watch.
