Bangor and Giant's Causeway

Lucinda had the brilliant idea of going to see the Giant's Causeway at the Northern tip of Ireland. It is an astounding rock formation which, although natural, looks as though it was manufactured. The legend says it was built by two giants, one in Ireland and one in Scotland, as a bridge between the two countries. We had to take a train to Belfast and then a long bus ride. The wind was howling, the torrential rain was horizontal and the sea was turbulent. We ended up soaked to the skin and had the long journey home in soggy clothing. It was good resilience training.

To everyone at Church Hill School, good luck to all of year 6 as they move on into the future and to everyone else a safe and happy holiday.
