We had a cracking journey north from Peterhead this morning. We were surfing down waves with three reefs in the sail and the wind behind for a top speed of 12.8 knots. We got round Rattray Head in good shape only to face a long slog westward into wind and tide. The wind was force 6 with periods of force 7 so it was hard work. Eventually we gave into the inevitable and put the engine on and finally ground our way into Buckie. We're now clean and in the town curry house. With luck we'll be in Inverness tomorrow.
