The alarm woke us at 6:15 this morning. We looked our of the window and it was pouring with rain so we went back to bed. This meant we missed our tidal window to go through the Kyle Rhea narrows. We motored the 5 miles to Mallaig and refuelled in the industrial fishing harbour. We then sailed on in blustery weather and intermittent showers to reach Isleornsay on Skye. We are now moored on a buoy belonging to the Duisdale House Hotel. We walked into the village where I tried some whisky. We're now going in to have dinner in the hotel.
