Last day in the Caledonian Canal
Today we moved a mere 1.4 miles although that involved the 8 lock descent of Neptune's Staircase follwed by a further 2 locks. We now have only the sea lock to negotiate before we are out on the ocean once again with all that entails with strong tides, whirpools and rocks to navigate. Sophie and David have gone off for the afternoon leaving Lucinda and myself to make a further trip to the Co-op (the 2nd today) get the floor boards up and get prepared for tomorrow. Sophie and David are leaving in the morning. We hope to have friends joining us on or around the 23rd of June. If anyone wants to join us in the meantime please get in touch. We have to come back to London in early July and when we return to the boat we intend to head South through the Irish sea. Help and company for this leg will be very welcome. After that we hope to be in Cornwall and Devon with warmer weather and shorter legs. We're fit, well and rested. I've put some more photos on the photo page. We love to hear your comments - keep them coming.
