Jura
We intended to pass through the notorious Gulf of Corryvreckan, known for whirlpools and severe turbulence if the winds and tides are unfavourable. When we got there we chickened out and had a long and tedious beat against wind and tide down to the bottom of Jura. We did pass through the 1000 mile mark on the journey. While preparing to go ashore I tested my self inflating life jacket and emergency boarding ladder by falling off the dinghy. Not one of our better days. A hot meal and a Scotch will be very welcome.
