Oblivion in Whitby
We arrived here just before 9 pm taking 24h 27min to sail 164nm. On board to join Lucinda and myself are Jonathan Chadd, David Luddicoat and Ant Lewis. The night passage was unpleasant and most of Lucinda's excellent chili ended up back in the north sea. By morning the swell settled down but the Westerly force 5 to 6 continued throughout the journey. We moored on a quay in the centre if town. All restaurants closed at 9 so take away fish and chips and off to bed.

So disappointed not to have shared this with you. had to put up with the mastery of Messi, Xavi, Iniesta etc. Mind you, but your fish & chips were better than I got at Wembley!
Michael and I watching your progress with interest and some jealousy. Michael focussing on the techie bits, I'm more sympathising + Lucinda and her wasted efforts with the chilli. Sounds like you recovered sufficiently to enjoy Yorkshire fish & chips. Wishing you good winds and calm waters! Jill
