What a contrast compared to yesterday. Light breezes and a mill pond sea. Out of our passage time of just over 13 hours we motored for 7 and covered a total of 83 miles. The highlights were seeing a pod of whales 75 metres off our starboard side and passing through the Farne Islands. We're in Eyemouth, a wonderful fishing port with a small pontoon for visiting yachts.

A whale beached at Redcar yesterday - and has since died (true). They believe it was hit by a small sailing yacht and say they have photos...but you are in Scottish waters now so well safe.
